We are increasingly being encouraged to spend time "in nature." We often romanticize it in our imagination as a beautiful, remote, and harmonious space. In this view, nature becomes a concept tied to specific places—a backdrop for recreation and aesthetic experience. Landscapes are multi-layered; they interconnect both human-made structures and multi-species processes that occur independently of our intentions, plans, and interpretations.
In this publication, we do not seek to return to an imagined prior balance, but rather to discover how to continue a more conscious coexistence in our complex world, without striving to simplify, fix, or make it comfortable. Recognizing the challenge of perceiving alternative forms of coexistence with nature in our daily lives, we have created a publication to accompany you through new experiences. Therefore, this publication does not offer a theoretical overview of ideas, but rather tasks that invite the reader to go out into nature and experience it beyond the familiar perspective.
